Profile

I am enrolled at Loyola University Chicago.  I am a dual major in both English and Advertising/Public Relations.  I also have a creative writing concentration in my English major. I belong to the English Honors Society at Loyola and I take part in the Undergraduate English Association. I hope to mix these two majors together by going into publishing.  I would like to become an acquisitions editor for a publishing company.  I love to read and to write, and want to make my passion for stories my career.  I am an avid reader.  My favorite genre is romance, but I have read a little bit of everything.  My favorite authors are Laurell K. Hamilton, Christine Feehan, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Katie MacAlister, Catherine Anderson, and Johanna Lindsey.

When I was in high school, I worked for the Cincinnati Public Library as a book shelver for about two and a half years.  Here I got a better idea of all the different genres.  I have also worked at Passages Charter School as an afterschool tutor (Febuary 2011- present), The Beach Waterpark as a custodian (May 2011- August 2011), Supreme Nut and Candy Company as a shop assistant (June 2011- August 2011), and JHP Community Center as a homework tutor (October 2010- May 2011).

My interests include reading, writing, and learning about new places and people.  In the Fall 2011 semester, I studied abroad in Rome at the John Felice Rome Center.  I visited seven countries other than Italy, and I spent time exploring Italy.

  1. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my cousin were just preparing to do some research on this. We got a book from our local library but I think I learned better from this post. I’m very glad to see such great info being shared freely out there…
